There’s something profound about the way life speaks when we’re listening. Sometimes, the messages are gentle whispers. Other times, they come as a skunk chasing you under the night sky.
This week’s Resonance & Reflection intuitive message led me to an unexpected revelation about transmutation, not just as an abstract spiritual concept but as a deeply embodied process. This insight didn’t come from books or theories—it came from a moment of presence, of fear, and ultimately, of harmony.
I shared the full experience on my Patreon, but here, I want to offer an expanded reflection on a key theme: how acknowledgment shifts energy, both internally and externally.
The Grass Called Me Out
After my run-in with the skunk, I returned to nature to ground myself. I greeted the trees, reconnecting with them like old friends, when suddenly, I felt the grass respond:
“You act like we weren’t even here.”
Not in a hostile way, but in a tone of remembrance—a nudge that said, we’ve always been here, too.
And in that moment, I felt it. A familiar energy, one I’ve encountered before in different forms. It was love, but also a longing to be acknowledged. It was proof that “God” is indeed “jealous,” but not in the way we’ve been conditioned to fear.
The grass didn’t need my worship. It didn’t demand submission. It simply wanted to be seen. And when I acknowledged it, it acknowledged me right back—with a revelation that reminded me of one of my favorite lines from The Color Purple:
“I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it.”
How often do we overlook what’s already been given to us?
How often do we bypass the gifts that have been placed right in front of us, waiting for us to see?
Transmutation Is Not Changing—It’s Balancing
As I processed this moment, I realized something: transmutation is not about turning fear into something else. It’s about creating a harmonic flow within yourself so that fear no longer disrupts your equilibrium.
We’ve been taught that transmutation is about changing emotions—turning fear into love, turning anger into peace. But what if it’s actually about balancing those energies so they can move fluidly through us instead of controlling us?
During the message, I actively experienced this shift in real-time. I noticed judgment creeping in—judgment toward myself, judgment toward the situation. But instead of trying to suppress it, I moved it into curiosity.
At around 9:30 into the message, I could feel the difference. I wasn’t just accepting the experience—I was at peace with it.
This is what authentic power feels like.
Authentic Power & the Processing Mind
“It’s not ‘overthinking’ if you’re processing. Your brain is a computer. It needs to process.”
So many of us have been conditioned to believe that deep thinking is a flaw. That analyzing, questioning, and reflecting too much is a burden. But what if this is part of our natural intelligence? What if our minds are designed to process like a computer—gathering information, running programs, and refining them until we create something intentional?
This ties into authentic power, a concept I first encountered in Universal Human by Gary Zukav. He actually has a book titled Authentic Power, but I never read that one.
Still, the essence of the idea resonates: authentic power is not about controlling others or even controlling emotions. It’s about aligning your inner world in a way that allows you to move through life with clarity, purpose, and peace.
And sometimes, that clarity comes from the most unexpected messengers—like a skunk reminding you that fear is a frequency you can harmonize with, or a patch of grass reminding you that presence is an act of love.
